Bovine PF-4 (Platelet Factor 4) ELISA Kit
The Bovine (PF-4) Platelet Factor 4 ELISA Kit measures Platelet Factor 4 in Bovine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Bovine PF-4 antibody. PF-4 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Bovine PF-4 Antibody is added and binds to PF-4 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PF-4 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Bovine PF-4. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Released during platelet aggregation. Neutralizes the anticoagulant effect of heparin because it binds more strongly to heparin than to the chondroitin-4-sulfate chains of the carrier molecule.
