Canine AR (Androgen Receptor) ELISA Kit
Canine AR (Androgen Receptor) ELISA Kit
The Canine (AR) Androgen Receptor ELISA Kit measures Androgen Receptor in Canine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Canine AR antibody. AR present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Canine AR Antibody is added and binds to AR in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated AR antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Canine AR. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Steroid hormone receptors are ligand-activated transcription factors that regulate eukaryotic gene expression and affect cellular proliferation and differentiation in target tissues. Transcription factor activity is modulated by bound coactivator and corepressor proteins like ZBTB7A that recruits NCOR1 and NCOR2 to the androgen response elements/ARE on target genes, negatively regulating androgen receptor signaling and androgen-induced cell proliferation. Transcription activation is also down-regulated by NR0B2. Activated, but not phosphorylated, by HIPK3 and ZIPK/DAPK3. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
