Canine MYH9 (Myosin-9) ELISA Kit
The Canine (MYH9) Myosin-9 ELISA Kit measures Myosin-9 in Canine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Canine MYH9 antibody. MYH9 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Canine MYH9 Antibody is added and binds to MYH9 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated MYH9 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Canine MYH9. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Cellular myosin that appears to play a role in cytokinesis, cell shape, and specialized functions such as secretion and capping (By similarity). Promotes also cell motility together with S100A4. During cell spreading, plays an important role in cytoskeleton reorganization, focal contacts formation (in the margins but not the central part of spreading cells), and lamellipodial retraction; this function is mechanically antagonized by MYH10 (By similarity).
