Chicken SDH (Sorbitol Dehydrogenase) ELISA Kit
The Chicken (SDH) Sorbitol Dehydrogenase ELISA Kit measures Sorbitol dehydrogenase in Chicken samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Chicken SDH antibody. SDH present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Chicken SDH Antibody is added and binds to SDH in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SDH antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Chicken SDH. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Polyol dehydrogenase that catalyzes the reversible NAD+-dependent oxidation of various sugar alcohols. Is active with D-sorbitol (D-glucitol) as substrate, leading to the C2-oxidized product D-fructose (PubMed:15649778).
