Equine CCL2 (C-C Motif Chemokine 2) ELISA Kit
Equine CCL2 (C-C Motif Chemokine 2) ELISA Kit
The Equine (CCL2) C-C Motif Chemokine 2 ELISA Kit measures C-C Motif Chemokine 2 in Equine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Equine CCL2 antibody. CCL2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Equine CCL2 Antibody is added and binds to CCL2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CCL2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Equine CCL2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Acts as a ligand for C-C chemokine receptor CCR2 (By similarity). Signals through binding and activation of CCR2 and induces a strong chemotactic response and mobilization of intracellular calcium ions (By similarity). Exhibits a chemotactic activity for monocytes and basophils but not neutrophils or eosinophils (By similarity). Plays an important role in mediating peripheral nerve injury-induced neuropathic pain (By similarity). Increases NMDA-mediated synaptic transmission in both dopamine D1 and D2 receptor-containing neurons, which may be caused by MAPK/ERK-dependent phosphorylation of GRIN2B/NMDAR2B (By similarity).
