Human ANG (Angiogenin) ELISA Kit
Human ANG (Angiogenin) ELISA Kit
The Human (ANG) Angiogenin ELISA Kit measures Angiogenin in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ANG antibody. ANG present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ANG Antibody is added and binds to ANG in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ANG antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ANG. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Binds to actin on the surface of endothelial cells; once bound, angiogenin is endocytosed and translocated to the nucleus. Stimulates ribosomal RNA synthesis including that containing the initiation site sequences of 45S rRNA. Cleaves tRNA within anticodon loops to produce tRNA-derived stress-induced fragments (tiRNAs) which inhibit protein synthesis and triggers the assembly of stress granules (SGs). Angiogenin induces vascularization of normal and malignant tissues. Angiogenic activity is regulated by interaction with RNH1 in vivo. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
