Human ANGPTL7 (Angiopoietin-related Protein 7) ELISA Kit
Human ANGPTL7 (Angiopoietin-related Protein 7) ELISA Kit
The Human (ANGPTL7) Angiopoietin-related Protein 7 ELISA Kit measures Angiopoietin-Related Protein 7 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ANGPTL7 antibody. ANGPTL7 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ANGPTL7 Antibody is added and binds to ANGPTL7 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ANGPTL7 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ANGPTL7. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Has a role in the formation and organization of the extracellular matrix. In the eye, it functions as a mediator of dexamethasone-induced matrix deposition in the trabecular meshwork, the tissue responsible for the outflow of the ocular aqueous humor and for the maintenance of intraocular pressure (PubMed: 21199193). Is a negative regulator of angiogenesis in the cornea, and plays a major role in maintaining corneal avascularity and transparency (PubMed: 25622036). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
