The Human (BCL2L11) Bcl-2-like Protein 11 ELISA Kit measures Bcl-2-Like Protein 11 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human BCL2L11 antibody. BCL2L11 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human BCL2L11 Antibody is added and binds to BCL2L11 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated BCL2L11 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human BCL2L11. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Induces apoptosis and anoikis. Isoform BimL is more potent than isoform BimEL. Isoform Bim-alpha1, isoform Bim-alpha2 and isoform Bim-alpha3 induce apoptosis, although less potent than isoform BimEL, isoform BimL and isoform BimS. Isoform Bim-gamma induces apoptosis.
