Human BMP10 (Bone Morphogenetic Protein 10) ELISA Kit
Human BMP10 (Bone Morphogenetic Protein 10) ELISA Kit
The Human (BMP10) Bone Morphogenetic Protein 10 ELISA Kit measures Bone Morphogenetic Protein 10 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human BMP10 antibody. BMP10 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human BMP10 Antibody is added and binds to BMP10 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated BMP10 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human BMP10. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Required for maintaining the proliferative activity of embryonic cardiomyocytes by preventing premature activation of the negative cell cycle regulator CDKN1C/p57KIP and maintaining the required expression levels of cardiogenic factors such as MEF2C and NKX2-5. Acts as a ligand for ACVRL1/ALK1, BMPR1A/ALK3 and BMPR1B/ALK6, leading to activation of SMAD1, SMAD5 and SMAD8 transcription factors. Inhibits endothelial cell migration and growth. May reduce cell migration and cell matrix adhesion in breast cancer cell lines. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
