Human BMPR2 (Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor 2) ELISA Kit
Human BMPR2 (Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor 2) ELISA Kit
The Human (BMPR2) Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor 2 ELISA Kit measures Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor 2 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human BMPR2 antibody. BMPR2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human BMPR2 Antibody is added and binds to BMPR2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated BMPR2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human BMPR2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
On ligand binding, forms a receptor complex consisting of two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. Binds to BMP7, BMP2 and, less efficiently, BMP4. Binding is weak but enhanced by the presence of type I receptors for BMPs. Mediates induction of adipogenesis by GDF6. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
