Human BRF2 (Transcription Factor 3B 50 kDa Subunit) ELISA Kit

Human BRF2 (Transcription Factor 3B 50 kDa Subunit) ELISA Kit

The Human (BRF2) Transcription Factor 3B 50 kDa Subunit ELISA Kit measures Transcription factor 3B 50 kDa subunit in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human BRF2 antibody. BRF2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human BRF2 Antibody is added and binds to BRF2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated BRF2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human BRF2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background General activator of RNA polymerase III transcription. Factor exclusively required for RNA polymerase III transcription of genes with promoter elements upstream of the initiation sites (PubMed:11040218, PubMed:11121026, PubMed:11564744, PubMed:26638071). Contributes to the regulation of gene expression; functions as activator in the absence of oxidative stress (PubMed:26638071). Down-regulates expression of target genes in response to oxidative stress (PubMed:26638071). Overexpression protects cells against apoptosis in response to oxidative stress (PubMed:26638071).
