Human CCL4 (C-C Motif Chemokine 4) ELISA Kit

Human CCL4 (C-C Motif Chemokine 4) ELISA Kit

The Human (CCL4) C-C Motif Chemokine 4 ELISA Kit measures C-C Motif Chemokine 4 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CCL4 antibody. CCL4 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CCL4 Antibody is added and binds to CCL4 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CCL4 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CCL4. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Monokine with inflammatory and chemokinetic properties. Binds to CCR5. One of the major HIV-suppressive factors produced by CD8+ T-cells. Recombinant MIP-1-beta induces a dose-dependent inhibition of different strains of HIV-1, HIV-2, and simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV). The processed form MIP-1-beta(3-69) retains the abilities to induce down-modulation of surface expression of the chemokine receptor CCR5 and to inhibit the CCR5-mediated entry of HIV-1 in T-cells. MIP-1-beta(3-69) is also a ligand for CCR1 and CCR2 isoform B. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
