The Human (CCNY) Cyclin-Y ELISA Kit measures Cyclin-Y in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CCNY antibody. CCNY present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CCNY Antibody is added and binds to CCNY in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CCNY antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CCNY. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Positive regulatory subunit of the cyclin-dependent kinases CDK14/PFTK1 and CDK16. Acts as a cell-cycle regulator of Wnt signaling pathway during G2/M phase by recruiting CDK14/PFTK1 to the plasma membrane and promoting phosphorylation of LRP6, leading to the activation of the Wnt signaling pathway.
