Human CCR-5 (Cc-Chemokine Receptor 5) ELISA Kit

Human CCR-5 (Cc-Chemokine Receptor 5) ELISA Kit

The Human (CCR-5) Cc-Chemokine Receptor 5 ELISA Kit measures Cc-Chemokine Receptor 5 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CCR5 antibody. CCR5 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CCR5 Antibody is added and binds to CCR5 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CCR5 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CCR5. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Receptor for a number of inflammatory CC-chemokines including CCL3/MIP-1-alpha, CCL4/MIP-1-beta and RANTES and subsequently transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ion level. May play a role in the control of granulocytic lineage proliferation or differentiation. Participates in T-lymphocyte migration to the infection site by acting as a chemotactic receptor (PubMed: 30713770). (Microbial infection) Acts as a coreceptor (CD4 being the primary receptor) of human immunodeficiency virus-1/HIV-1. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
