Human CD163 (CD163 antigen) ELISA Kit
Human CD163 (CD163 antigen) ELISA Kit
The Human (CD163) CD163 antigen ELISA Kit measures Scavenger receptor cysteine-rich type 1 protein M130 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CD63 antibody. CD63 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CD63 Antibody is added and binds to CD63 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CD63 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CD63. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
CD163 is a scavenge receptor for the haptoglobin-hemoglobin complex. CD163 clears the complex in the liver, spleen and circulation. Soluble CD163 also plays a role in reducing inflammation, and dysregulation of CD163 is associated with some inflammatory conditions like multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes mellitus.
