The Human (CD320) Cd320 Antigen ELISA Kit measures CD320 Antigen in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CD320 antibody. CD320 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CD320 Antibody is added and binds to CD320 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CD320 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CD320. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Receptor for transcobalamin saturated with cobalamin (TCbl) (PubMed: 18779389). Plays an important role in cobalamin uptake (PubMed: 18779389, PubMed: 20524213). Plasma membrane protein that is expressed on follicular dendritic cells (FDC) and mediates interaction with germinal center B cells (PubMed: 10727470). Functions as costimulator to promote B cell responses to antigenic stimuli; promotes B cell differentiation and proliferation (PubMed: 10727470, PubMed: 11418631). Germinal center-B (GC-B) cells differentiate into memory B-cells and plasma cells (PC) through interaction with T-cells and follicular dendritic cells (FDC) (PubMed: 11418631).
