Human CD63 (Cluster of differentiation 63) ELISA Kit
Human CD63 (Cluster of differentiation 63) ELISA Kit
The Human (CD63) Cluster of differentiation 63 ELISA Kit measures CD63 antigen in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CD63 antibody. CD63 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CD63 Antibody is added and binds to CD63 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CD63 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CD63. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Human CD63 antigen, also referred to as Granulophysin, Lysomal-associated membrane protein 3 (LAMP-3), Tetraspanin-30, and Ocular melanoma-associated antigen, is a membrane bound protein encoded by the gene CD63. CD63 belongs to a group of proteins known as the tetraspanin family, which are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains and are found to mediate signal transduction events for the regulation of cell development, activation, growth, and motility. Deficiency of this protein is associated with Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome, which is an autosomal disorder. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
