Human CD72 (B-cell Differentiation Antigen CD72) ELISA Kit
Human CD72 (B-cell Differentiation Antigen CD72) ELISA Kit
The Human (CD72) B-cell Differentiation Antigen CD72 ELISA Kit measures B-cell differentiation antigen CD72 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CD72 antibody. CD72 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CD72 Antibody is added and binds to CD72 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CD72 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CD72. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
CD27 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. It is currently of interest to immunologists as a co-stimulatory immune checkpoint molecule, and is the target of an anti-cancer drug in clinical trials. During mouse embryonic development, specific (medium) expression levels of CD27 (in addition to high cKit, medium Gata2, and high CD31 expression levels) define the very first adult definitive hematopoietic stem cells generated in the aorta-gonad-mesonephros region. Furthermore, CD27 is expressed on both naïve and activated effector T cells as well as NK cells and activated B cells. It is a type I transmembrane protein with cysteine-rich domains, but once T cells have become activated, a soluble form of CD27 can be shed. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
