The Human (CDT1) DNA Replication Factor Cdt1 ELISA Kit measures Dna Replication Factor Cdt1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CDT1 antibody. CDT1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CDT1 Antibody is added and binds to CDT1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CDT1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CDT1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Required for both DNA replication and mitosis (PubMed: 11125146, PubMed: 22581055, PubMed: 21856198, PubMed: 14993212, PubMed: 26842564). DNA replication licensing factor, required for pre-replication complex assembly. Cooperates with CDC6 and the origin recognition complex (ORC) during G1 phase of the cell cycle to promote the loading of the mini-chromosome maintenance (MCM) complex onto DNA to generate pre-replication complexes (pre-RC)(PubMed: 14672932).
