Background
S100A12, also known as CCRP and calgranulin C, is encoded by the S100A12 gene and a member of the S100 family. Found secreted by neutrophils, monocytes, and keratinocytes in which the protein plays significant roles as antiparasitic, anti-infectious, and antibacterial.
