Human CHST3 (Carbohydrate Sulfotransferase 3) ELISA Kit

Human CHST3 (Carbohydrate Sulfotransferase 3) ELISA Kit

The Human (CHST3) Carbohydrate Sulfotransferase 3 ELISA Kit measures Carbohydrate Sulfotransferase 3 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CHST3 antibody. CHST3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CHST3 Antibody is added and binds to CHST3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CHST3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CHST3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Sulfotransferase that utilizes 3'-phospho-5'-adenylyl sulfate (PAPS) as sulfonate donor to catalyze the transfer of sulfate to position 6 of the N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) residue of chondroitin. Chondroitin sulfate constitutes the predominant proteoglycan present in cartilage and is distributed on the surfaces of many cells and extracellular matrices. Can also sulfate Gal residues of keratan sulfate, another glycosaminoglycan, and the Gal residues in sialyl N-acetyllactosamine (sialyl LacNAc) oligosaccharides. May play a role in the maintenance of naive T-lymphocytes in the spleen. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
