Human CLDN9 (Claudin 9) ELISA Kit
Human CLDN9 (Claudin 9) ELISA Kit
The Human (CLDN9) Claudin 9 ELISA Kit measures Claudin 9 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CLDN9 antibody. CLDN9 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CLDN9 Antibody is added and binds to CLDN9 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CLDN9 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CLDN9. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Plays a major role in tight junction-specific obliteration of the intercellular space, through calcium-independent cell-adhesion activity. Tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH; EC 1.14.16.4) is the rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis of serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine, or 5HT). 5HT is causally involved in numerous central nervous activities, and it has several functions in peripheral tissues, including the maintenance of vascular tone and gut motility.
(Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for hepatitis C virus (HCV) entry into hepatic cells. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
