Human CLIC4 (Chloride Intracellular Channel Protein 4) ELISA Kit
Human CLIC4 (Chloride Intracellular Channel Protein 4) ELISA Kit
The Human (CLIC4) Chloride Intracellular Channel Protein 4 ELISA Kit measures Chloride Intracellular Channel Protein 4 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CLIC4 antibody. CLIC4 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CLIC4 Antibody is added and binds to CLIC4 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CLIC4 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CLIC4. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Can insert into membranes and form poorly selective ion Channels that may also transport chloride ions. Channel activity depends on the pH. Membrane insertion seems to be redox-regulated and may occur only under oxydizing conditions. Promotes cell-surface expression of HRH3. Has alternate cellular functions like a potential role in angiogenesis or in maintaining apical-basolateral membrane polarity during mitosis and cytokinesis. Could also promote endothelial cell proliferation and regulate endothelial morphogenesis (tubulogenesis). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
