The Human (CRKL) Crk-like Protein ELISA Kit measures Crk-like protein in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CRKL antibody. CRKL present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CRKL Antibody is added and binds to CRKL in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CRKL antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CRKL. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Crk-like protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CRKL gene. v-CRK avian sarcoma virus CT10-homolog-like contains one SH2 domain and two SH3 domains. CRKL has been shown to activate the RAS and JUN kinase signaling pathways and transform fibroblasts in a RAS-dependent fashion. It is a substrate of the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase and plays a role in fibroblast transformation by BCR-ABL. In addition, CRKL has oncogenic potential. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
