The Human (CSNK1E) Casein Kinase I Isoform Epsilon ELISA Kit measures Casein kinase I isoform epsilon in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CSNK1E antibody. CSNK1E present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CSNK1E Antibody is added and binds to CSNK1E in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CSNK1E antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CSNK1E. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Casein kinases are operationally defined by their preferential utilization of acidic proteins such as caseins as substrates. Can phosphorylate a large number of proteins. Participates in Wnt signaling. Phosphorylates DVL1 and DVL2. Central component of the circadian clock. In balance with PP1, determines the circadian period length, through the regulation of the speed and rhythmicity of PER1 and PER2 phosphorylation.
