Human CTDP1 (Rna Polymerase Ii Subunit A C-terminal Domain Phosphatase) ELISA Kit

Human CTDP1 (Rna Polymerase Ii Subunit A C-terminal Domain Phosphatase) ELISA Kit

The Human (CTDP1) Rna Polymerase Ii Subunit A C-terminal Domain Phosphatase ELISA Kit measures RNA polymerase II subunit A C-terminal domain phosphatase in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CTDP1 antibody. CTDP1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CTDP1 Antibody is added and binds to CTDP1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CTDP1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CTDP1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Processively dephosphorylates 'Ser-2' and 'Ser-5' of the heptad repeats YSPTSPS in the C-terminal domain of the largest RNA polymerase II subunit. This promotes the activity of RNA polymerase II. Plays a role in the exit from mitosis by dephosphorylating crucial mitotic substrates (USP44, CDC20 and WEE1) that are required for M-phase-promoting factor (MPF)/CDK1 inactivation.
