Human CYSLTR1 (Cysteinyl Leukotriene Receptor 1) ELISA Kit
Human CYSLTR1 (Cysteinyl Leukotriene Receptor 1) ELISA Kit
The Human (CYSLTR1) Cysteinyl Leukotriene Receptor 1 ELISA Kit measures Cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CYSLTR1 antibody. CYSLTR1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CYSLTR1 Antibody is added and binds to CYSLTR1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CYSLTR1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CYSLTR1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Receptor for cysteinyl leukotrienes mediating bronchoconstriction of individuals with and without asthma. Stimulation by LTD4 results in the contraction and proliferation of smooth muscle, edema, eosinophil migration and damage to the mucus layer in the lung. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The rank order of affinities for the leukotrienes is LTD4 >> LTE4 = LTC4 >> LTB4.
