The Human (DCC) Netrin Receptor Dcc ELISA Kit measures Netrin Receptor Dcc in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human DCC antibody. DCC present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human DCC Antibody is added and binds to DCC in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated DCC antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human DCC. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Receptor for netrin required for axon guidance. Mediates axon attraction of neuronal growth cones in the developing nervous system upon ligand binding. Its association with UNC5 proteins may trigger signaling for axon repulsion. It also acts as a dependence receptor required for apoptosis induction when not associated with netrin ligand.
