Human DCTN5 (Dynactin Subunit 5) ELISA Kit

Human DCTN5 (Dynactin Subunit 5) ELISA Kit

The Human (DCTN5) Dynactin Subunit 5 ELISA Kit measures Dynactin subunit 5 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human DCTN5 antibody. DCTN5 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human DCTN5 Antibody is added and binds to DCTN5 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated DCTN5 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human DCTN5. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Dynactin 5 (p25) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the DCTN5 gene. This gene encodes a subunit of dynactin, a component of the cytoplasmic dynein motor machinery involved in minus-end-directed transport. The encoded protein is a component of the pointed-end subcomplex and is thought to bind membranous cargo. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 1. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
