Human ENOX1 (Ecto-nox Disulfide-thiol Exchanger 1) ELISA Kit
Human ENOX1 (Ecto-nox Disulfide-thiol Exchanger 1) ELISA Kit
The Human (ENOX1) Ecto-nox Disulfide-thiol Exchanger 1 ELISA Kit measures Ecto-NOX disulfide-thiol exchanger 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ENOX1 antibody. ENOX1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ENOX1 Antibody is added and binds to ENOX1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ENOX1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ENOX1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Probably acts as a terminal oxidase of plasma electron transport from cytosolic NAD(P)H via hydroquinones to acceptors at the cell surface. Hydroquinone oxidase activity alternates with a protein disulfide-thiol interchange/oxidoreductase activity which may control physical membrane displacements associated with vesicle budding or cell enlargement. The activities oscillate with a period length of 24 minutes and play a role in control of the ultradian cellular biological clock. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
