Human EPOR (Erythropoietin Receptor) ELISA Kit
Human EPOR (Erythropoietin Receptor) ELISA Kit
The Human (EPOR) Erythropoietin Receptor ELISA Kit measures Erythropoietin Receptor in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human EPOR antibody. EPOR present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human EPOR Antibody is added and binds to EPOR in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated EPOR antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human EPOR. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Receptor for erythropoietin. Mediates erythropoietin-induced erythroblast proliferation and differentiation. Upon EPO stimulation, EPOR dimerizes triggering the JAK2/STAT5 signaling cascade. In some cell types, can also activate STAT1 and STAT3. May also activate the LYN tyrosine kinase. Isoform EPOR-T acts as a dominant-negative receptor of EPOR-mediated signaling.
