Human EXOSC1 (Exosome Complex Component Csl4) ELISA Kit
Human EXOSC1 (Exosome Complex Component Csl4) ELISA Kit
The Human (EXOSC1) Exosome Complex Component Csl4 ELISA Kit measures Exosome complex component CSL4 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human EXOSC1 antibody. EXOSC1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human EXOSC1 Antibody is added and binds to EXOSC1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated EXOSC1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human EXOSC1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
3'-5' exoribonuclease CSL4 homolog is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the EXOSC1 gene. This gene encodes a core component of the exosome complex. The mammalian exosome is required for rapid degradation of AU rich element-containing RNAs but not for poly(A) shortening. The association of this protein with the exosome is mediated by protein-protein interactions with ribosomal RNA-processing protein 42 and ribosomal RNA-processing protein 46.
