Human EXOSC2 (Exosome Complex Component Rrp4) ELISA Kit
Human EXOSC2 (Exosome Complex Component Rrp4) ELISA Kit
The Human (EXOSC2) Exosome Complex Component Rrp4 ELISA Kit measures Exosome complex component RRP4 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human EXOSC2 antibody. EXOSC2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human EXOSC2 Antibody is added and binds to EXOSC2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated EXOSC2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human EXOSC2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Exosome component 2, also known as EXOSC2, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the EXOSC2 gene. Mammalian mRNAs contain AU-rich elements (AREs) within their three prime untranslated regions. In yeast, 3-prime-to-5-prime mRNA degradation is mediated by the exosome, a multisubunit particle. EXOSC2 (which is homologous to the yeast Rrp4 protein) is a component of the human exosome.
