Human F11R (Junctional Adhesion Molecule A) ELISA Kit
Human F11R (Junctional Adhesion Molecule A) ELISA Kit
The Human (F11R) Junctional Adhesion Molecule A ELISA Kit measures Junctional Adhesion Molecule A in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human F11R antibody. F11R present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human F11R Antibody is added and binds to F11R in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated F11R antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human F11R. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Seems to play a role in epithelial tight junction formation. Appears early in primordial forms of cell junctions and recruits PARD3 (PubMed: 11489913). The association of the PARD6-PARD3 complex may prevent the interaction of PARD3 with JAM1, thereby preventing tight junction assembly (By similarity). Plays a role in regulating monocyte transmigration involved in integrity of epithelial barrier (By similarity). Ligand for integrin alpha-L/beta-2 involved in memory T-cell and neutrophil transmigration (PubMed: 11812992). Involved in platelet activation (PubMed: 10753840). (Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for Mammalian reovirus sigma-1. (Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for Human Rotavirus strain Wa. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
