The Human (FCGR2B) Low Affinity Immunoglobulin Gamma Fc Region Receptor 2B ELISA Kit measures Low affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor 2-b in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human FCGR2B antibody. FCGR2B present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human FCGR2B Antibody is added and binds to FCGR2B in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated FCGR2B antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human FCGR2B. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Involved in a variety of effector and regulatory functions such as phagocytosis of immune complexes and modulation of antibody production by B-cells. Binding to this receptor results in down-modulation of previous state of cell activation triggered via antigen receptors on B-cells (BCR), T-cells (TCR) or via another Fc receptor.
