Human FN3K (Fructosamine-3-kinase) ELISA Kit

Human FN3K (Fructosamine-3-kinase) ELISA Kit

The Human (FN3K) Fructosamine-3-kinase ELISA Kit measures Fructosamine-3-Kinase in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human FN3K antibody. FN3K present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human FN3K Antibody is added and binds to FN3K in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated FN3K antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human FN3K. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Fructosamine-3-kinase involved in protein deglycation by mediating phosphorylation of fructoselysine residues on glycated proteins, to generate fructoselysine-3 phosphate (PubMed: 11016445, PubMed: 11522682, PubMed: 11975663). Fructoselysine-3 phosphate adducts are unstable and decompose under physiological conditions (PubMed: 11522682, PubMed: 11975663). Involved in intracellular deglycation in erythrocytes (PubMed: 11975663). Involved in the response to oxidative stress by mediating deglycation of NFE2L2/NRF2, glycation impairing NFE2L2/NRF2 function (By similarity). Also able to phosphorylate psicosamines and ribulosamines (PubMed: 14633848). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
