Human FNBP1 (Formin-binding Protein 1) ELISA Kit

Human FNBP1 (Formin-binding Protein 1) ELISA Kit

The Human (FNBP1) Formin-binding Protein 1 ELISA Kit measures Formin-Binding Protein 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human FNBP1 antibody. FNBP1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human FNBP1 Antibody is added and binds to FNBP1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated FNBP1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human FNBP1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background May act as a link between RND2 signaling and regulation of the actin cytoskeleton (By similarity). Required to coordinate membrane tubulation with reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton during the late stage of clathrin-mediated endocytosis. Binds to lipids such as phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate and phosphatidylserine and promotes membrane invagination and the formation of tubules. Also enhances actin polymerization via the recruitment of WASL/N-WASP, which in turn activates the Arp2/3 complex. Actin polymerization may promote the fission of membrane tubules to form endocytic vesicles. May be required for the lysosomal retention of FASLG/FASL. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
