The Human (FNBP1L) Formin-binding Protein 1-like ELISA Kit measures Formin-Binding Protein 1-Like in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human FNBP1L antibody. FNBP1L present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human FNBP1L Antibody is added and binds to FNBP1L in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated FNBP1L antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human FNBP1L. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

May bind to lipids such as phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate and phosphatidylserine and promote membrane invagination and the formation of tubules. Also promotes CDC42-induced actin polymerization by activating the WASL/N-WASP-WASPIP/WIP complex, the predominant form of WASL/N-WASP in cells.
