Human GCC2 (Grip and Coiled-Coil Domain-containing Protein 2) ELISA Kit

Human GCC2 (Grip and Coiled-Coil Domain-containing Protein 2) ELISA Kit

The Human (GCC2) Grip and Coiled-Coil Domain-containing Protein 2 ELISA Kit measures Grip and Coiled-Coil Domain-Containing Protein 2 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human GCC2 antibody. GCC2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human GCC2 Antibody is added and binds to GCC2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated GCC2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human GCC2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Golgin which probably tethers transport vesicles to the trans-Golgi network (TGN) and regulates vesicular transport between the endosomes and the Golgi. As a RAB9A effector it is involved in recycling of the mannose 6-phosphate receptor from the late endosomes to the TGN. May also play a role in transport between the recycling endosomes and the Golgi. Required for maintenance of the Golgi structure, it is involved in the biogenesis of noncentrosomal, Golgi-associated microtubules through recruitment of CLASP1 and CLASP2.
