Human GGH (Gamma-Glutamyl Hydrolase) ELISA Kit
Human GGH (Gamma-Glutamyl Hydrolase) ELISA Kit
The Human (GGH) Gamma-Glutamyl Hydrolase ELISA Kit measures Gamma-Glutamyl Hydrolase in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human GGH antibody. GGH present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human GGH Antibody is added and binds to GGH in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated GGH antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human GGH. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Hydrolyzes the polyglutamate sidechains of pteroylpolyglutamates. Progressively removes gamma-glutamyl residues from pteroylpoly-gamma-glutamate to yield pteroyl-alpha-glutamate (folic acid) and free glutamate. May play an important role in the bioavailability of dietary pteroylpolyglutamates and in the metabolism of pteroylpolyglutamates and antifolates. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
