Human GOLGA3 (Golgin Subfamily A Member 3) ELISA Kit
Human GOLGA3 (Golgin Subfamily A Member 3) ELISA Kit
The Human (GOLGA3) Golgin Subfamily A Member 3 ELISA Kit measures Golgin subfamily A member 3 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human GOLGA3 antibody. GOLGA3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human GOLGA3 Antibody is added and binds to GOLGA3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated GOLGA3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human GOLGA3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Golgin subfamily A member 3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GOLGA3 gene. The Golgi apparatus, which participates in glycosylation and transport of proteins and lipids in the secretory pathway, consists of a series of stacked cisternae (flattened membrane sacs). Interactions between the Golgi and microtubules are thought to be important for the reorganization of the Golgi after it fragments during mitosis. This gene encodes a member of the golgin family of proteins which are localized to the Golgi. Its encoded protein has been postulated to play a role in nuclear transport and Golgi apparatus localization. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of these variants has not been determined. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
