Human GPR84 (G Protein Coupled Receptor 84) ELISA Kit
Human GPR84 (G Protein Coupled Receptor 84) ELISA Kit
The Human (GPR84) G Protein Coupled Receptor 84 ELISA Kit measures G Protein Coupled Receptor 84 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human GPR84 antibody. GPR84 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human GPR84 Antibody is added and binds to GPR84 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated GPR84 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human GPR84. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Receptor for medium-chain free fatty acid (FFA) with carbon chain lengths of C9 to C14. Capric acid (C10:0), undecanoic acid (C11:0) and lauric acid (C12:0) are the most potent agonists. Not activated by short-chain and long-chain saturated and unsaturated FFAs. Activation by medium-chain free fatty acid is coupled to a pertussis toxin sensitive G(i/o) protein pathway. May have important roles in processes from fatty acid metabolism to regulation of the immune system. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
