Human GRP (Gastrin-Reliasing Peptide) ELISA Kit
Human GRP (Gastrin-Reliasing Peptide) ELISA Kit
The Human (GRP) Gastrin-Reliasing Peptide ELISA Kit measures Gastrin-Reliasing Peptide in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human GRP antibody. GRP present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human GRP Antibody is added and binds to GRP in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated GRP antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human GRP. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Stimulates the release of gastrin and other gastrointestinal hormones (By similarity). Contributes to the perception of prurient stimuli and to the transmission of itch signals in the spinal cord that promote scratching behavior. Contributes primarily to nonhistaminergic itch sensation. Contributes to long-term fear memory, but not normal spatial memory. Contributes to the regulation of food intake (By similarity).
