Human GSTM1 (Glutathione S-transferase Mu 1) ELISA Kit
Human GSTM1 (Glutathione S-transferase Mu 1) ELISA Kit
The Human (GSTM1) Glutathione S-transferase Mu 1 ELISA Kit measures Glutathione S-Transferase Mu 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human GSTM1 antibody. GSTM1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human GSTM1 Antibody is added and binds to GSTM1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated GSTM1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human GSTM1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Conjugation of reduced glutathione to a wide number of exogenous and endogenous hydrophobic electrophiles. Involved in the formation of glutathione conjugates of both prostaglandin A2 (PGA2) and prostaglandin J2 (PGJ2) (PubMed: 9084911). Participates in the formation of novel hepoxilin regioisomers (PubMed: 21046276). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
