Human HADH (Hydroxyacyl-coenzyme A Dehydrogenase) ELISA Kit
Human HADH (Hydroxyacyl-coenzyme A Dehydrogenase) ELISA Kit
The Human (HADH) Hydroxyacyl-coenzyme A Dehydrogenase ELISA Kit measures Hydroxyacyl-coenzyme A dehydrogenase in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human HADH antibody. HADH present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human HADH Antibody is added and binds to HADH in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HADH antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human HADH. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Mitochondrial fatty acid beta-oxidation enzyme that catalyzes the third step of the beta-oxidation cycle for medium and short-chain 3-hydroxy fatty acyl-CoAs (C4 to C10) (PubMed:10231530, PubMed:11489939, PubMed:16725361).
Plays a role in the control of insulin secretion by inhibiting the activation of glutamate dehydrogenase 1 (GLUD1), an enzyme that has an important role in regulating amino acid-induced insulin secretion (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
