The Human (HAS1) Hyaluronan Synthase 1 ELISA Kit measures Hyaluronan Synthase 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human HAS1 antibody. HAS1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human HAS1 Antibody is added and binds to HAS1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HAS1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human HAS1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Catalyzes the addition of GlcNAc or GlcUA monosaccharides to the nascent hyaluronan polymer. Therefore, it is essential to hyaluronan synthesis a major component of most extracellular matrices that has a structural role in tissues architectures and regulates cell adhesion, migration and differentiation.
