Human HIST1H3A (Histone H3.1) ELISA Kit
Human HIST1H3A (Histone H3.1) ELISA Kit
The Human (HIST1H3A) Histone H3.1 ELISA Kit measures Histone H3.1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human H3C1 antibody. H3C1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human H3C1 Antibody is added and binds to H3C1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated H3C1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human H3C1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Core component of nucleosome. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
