Human HIST2H2BE (Histone H2B Type 2-E) ELISA Kit

Human HIST2H2BE (Histone H2B Type 2-E) ELISA Kit

The Human (HIST2H2BE) Histone H2B Type 2-E ELISA Kit measures Histone H2B type 2-E in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human HIST2H2BE antibody. HIST2H2BE present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human HIST2H2BE Antibody is added and binds to HIST2H2BE in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HIST2H2BE antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human HIST2H2BE. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Core component of nucleosome. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
