Human HOOK3 (Protein Hook Homolog 3) ELISA Kit

Human HOOK3 (Protein Hook Homolog 3) ELISA Kit

The Human (HOOK3) Protein Hook Homolog 3 ELISA Kit measures Protein Hook homolog 3 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human HOOK3 antibody. HOOK3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human HOOK3 Antibody is added and binds to HOOK3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HOOK3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human HOOK3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Probably serves as a target for the spiC protein from Salmonella typhimurium, which inactivates it, leading to a strong alteration in cellular trafficking (By similarity). Component of the FTS/Hook/FHIP complex (FHF complex). The FHF complex may function to promote vesicle trafficking and/or fusion via the homotypic vesicular protein sorting complex (the HOPS complex). May regulate clearance of endocytosed receptors such as MSR1. Participates in defining the architecture and localization of the Golgi complex. Acts as an adapter protein linking the dynein motor complex to various cargos and converts dynein from a non-processive to a highly processive motor in the presence of dynactin. Facilitates the interaction between dynein and dynactin and activates dynein processivity (the ability to move along a microtubule for a long distance without falling off the track) (PubMed:25035494). FHF complex promotes the distribution of AP-4 complex to the perinuclear area of the cell (PubMed:32073997). (Microbial infection) May serve as a target for the spiC protein from Salmonella typhimurium, which inactivates it, leading to a strong alteration in cellular trafficking.
