Human HRH2 (Histamine H2 Rceptor) ELISA Kit
Human HRH2 (Histamine H2 Rceptor) ELISA Kit
The Human (HRH2) Histamine H2 Rceptor ELISA Kit measures Histamine H2 Rceptor in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human HRH2 antibody. HRH2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human HRH2 Antibody is added and binds to HRH2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HRH2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human HRH2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
The H2 subclass of histamine receptors mediates gastric acid secretion. Also appears to regulate gastrointestinal motility and intestinal secretion. Possible role in regulating cell growth and differentiation. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase and, through a separate G protein-dependent mechanism, the phosphoinositide/protein kinase (PKC) signaling pathway (By similarity).
